City of Alachua Charter

Tue, Jun 4th 2002 Resources

During the past few weeks a number of references have been made to the City of Alachua Charter.

We requested a copy last April (April 2001) from then City Clerk, Carol Walker. The copy we were given contained several typos, grammatical errors and was not signed or dated.

We made a public records request for a signed and dated copy on May 8, 2001. We also asked if there was more that one version of the Charter on file, and if corrections had been made prior to sending the official record to the state.

As of June 4, 2002, that public records request has not been fulfilled.

The link below is to the copy of the Charter that we received.
