On December 13th, from 6 pm to 9 pm, the Alachua Business League hosted "Caroling on Main Street." Downtown sparkled with newly installed lights and beautiful music for all tastes.
On September 11th, 2002, at Skinner Field, the City of Alachua held a Candlelight Vigil to remember September 11th.

July 4th at the Recreation Center the City of Alachua and the Alachua Chamber of Commerce co-sponsored an evening of music, food and fireworks.
