Recent events in Alachua have focused attention on issues which are of paramount importance to citizens. Many of the principals our forefathers fought and died for such as election integrity, voters rights, open government and freedom are still at the core of today`s controversy. A look back at the article by Buddy Davis was a reminder of just how committed Bob Canney was to the causes he held dear.

For more information about the extraordinary life, sacrifices and dedication one individual was committed to, go to: http://web.uflib.ufl.edu/spec/pkyonge/canney.htm
